Dionysus

Dionysus also known by his Roman name Bacchus, was the god of wine, agriculture, and fertility of nature. According to myth, Dionysus was is the sone of Zeus and a mortal woman Semele. After his mother dies from being hit with a lightning bolt, when she asks to see his true form. Dionysus is rescued from her womb, and developes in his fathers thigh. His birth from Zeus alone, gave him immortality. Hera was jealous of Dionysus, so she had the titans rip him apart. Rhea brought him back to life and Zeus arranged for his protection, and turned him over to the mountain nymps. Dionysus eventually journeyed into the underworld in search for his mother, he brought her back to Mount Olympus. Dionysus became one of the most important gods of everyday life.
